Work Assignments 70 Ruppendorf residents join forces
On May 10, 2025, 70 committed citizens impressively demonstrated what community spirit means in Ruppendorf. Two major initiatives took place – a clear sign that our village is looking ahead with enthusiasm, in line with the local council’s motto: “Doing is like wanting, only more extreme!”
Local council initiative – achieving a lot together!
The local council issued an invitation, and 40 volunteers aged between 7 and 74 enthusiastically set to work to actively beautify the town. They worked with great passion and commitment at a total of nine stations, for example:
- Benches were replaced in the nursery parking lot, inviting visitors to linger and relax.
- A new information board was erected at the Schwibbogen, which now complements our historical circular hiking trail and offers visitors and locals alike interesting insights into the history of our town.
- A painting was created at the school as part of a children’s project. This work of art will play a role in the upcoming jury round and clearly show how lively and creative our village is.
- The farmers’ market and youth club have also been given a fresh new look, with the grounds being maintained and beautified.
- Our historic landmark, the ruins of the old moated castle, has also been thoroughly refurbished and now shines in new splendor.
- The floodlights at the handball court have been renovated.
The successful day ended with a social gathering at the Ruppendorf farmers’ market, a perfect conclusion to a special day that brought our community even closer together.

Ruppendorf Youth Fire Brigade – Strong commitment to the 48-hour campaign.
At the same time, the Ruppendorf Youth Fire Brigade was also active: 30 dedicated young helpers beautified the area around the fire station as part of the 48-hour campaign. This campaign impressively underscores how active and committed the younger generation in our village is and clearly shows how well the different generations work together.
Working together for a strong future!
A total of 70 people volunteered their time and energy for this project – a strong signal that shows: Our village has a future! It is this sense of community that makes Ruppendorf unique and allows us to say with pride:
